Q&A WITH HEALTH AND FITNESS PROFESSIONAL - LACHLAN STUART
We were lucky enough to have a Q & A session with fitness professional Lachlan Stuart. We did the hard work for you and got the run down on some fitness tips straight from a professional.
Here is what Lachlan had to say…
What are some simple yet effective exercise for someone with a busy schedule?
For me I like to do body weight circuits. Depending on the time available.
For minute rounds. Depending on the individuals experience and fitness you would modify the exercises and format to suit.
What does a balanced diet mean to you?
A balanced diet is very important to me as I work long days, so I need energy all day, without having to use energy drinks.
I have always been conscious about what I put into my body as I want it performing at its best and I don't want to fill it with "empty calories".
How much time should I spend exercising a day?
Depending on the person, I recommend at least 30 minutes a day. No only does it have all the physically benefits but now more wellbeing benefits are being noted.
Are having snacks throughout the day unhealthy?
Depending on the snack size and type.
I personally have a small 100cal snack every 1.5-2 hours.
Best toning exercise that are effective on the entire body?
Burpees haha.. I personally love swimming as its working your whole body both aerobically and anaerobically.
Your top tips for general health and wellbeing…
Surround yourself with like minded people, keep a healthy balanced diet and incorporate that with an physical activity that you enjoy.
