We received the Mukti Sculpturesque Shape and Texture Wax from Nourished Life and were very excited to review it.
I first tried the wax before styling with a blow dryer. I washed my hair and let it dry a bit so it was just a damp. I applied the wax throughout the hair and proceeded to style my hair as usual.
Although the packaging suggests using only a small amount, I probably put a little too much which made my hair look a bit to oily and I lost a bit of volume in the top of my hair. The next time I washed my hair I applied less and continued with the blow dry process.
The wax prevented my hair from looking too dry (which it often does after repeated blow-drys!). The hair looked shinier and the style remained overnight.
I have also used the wax on natural hair. Soon after washing, I partially towel dry the hair and massage a small amount of the sculpting wax throughout - this time I wanted a natural beach wave, so I scrunched the hair put it into a bun. The result was a very natural looking wave, that didn’t look dry, rather beachy with a nice shine and less fly-aways!
Overall, I really like the Mukti Sculpturesque Shape and Texture Wax, it perfect for nourishing and conditioning hair. Mukti suggests that it is better suited for thicker, coarser hair, I suppose this is because of the wax consistency which may weigh down thinner hair, however my hair is of medium thickness and when not using too much, it works well..
