Michael Jackson , Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Childish Gambino. All these artists never stayed in any particular artistic box. They really did what they felt was right and did it with quality.

My middle name Ugbedo which means son of peace.
If you could claim anyone’s album as your own who’s would it be any why?
Miguels “Kaleidescope Dream” album. Miguel in my opinion achieved the perfect balance of soul/rnb/hip hop/rock. Every song made sense and he really established his own lane with this record.
How old were you when you first realised you passion for singing and dancing?
I was about 10 years old. Music was always around my house hold but when I first saw MJ on TV it was a done deal.
What made you choose ‘Something Bout You’ as your first single of 2015?
I wanted to start the year with a sexy, feel-good vibe that would help start everyone’s day right. Something Bout You is like that coffee you NEED to function for the day.
If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be and why?
I really enjoyed working with Richard Roxburgh on RAKE. His energy is just professional and good to be around on a set of so many people. Watching him change from just chatting normally to totally being in character is pretty special. He is a genius.
If you could work with anyone in the music industry who would it be and why?
Kanye West. He is such a visionary and his holistic approach to music and how it connects to fashion and art is out of this world.
What style of music do you like to listen to and draw inspiration from?
It always changes whether it be classic Marvin Gaye to nu-school FKA Twigs.
What can we expect from you this year?
Expect the unexpected musically. I really want to show my fans and non-fans something fresh and different every single and eventually the album.
One thing that you have not done but would like to…
Perform at Madison Square Garden. Nuff said.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to start a career in music?
Hard work mixed with opportunity leads to good luck so work really really hard.
