There is something so wonderful about a new year. A chance to start fresh, reboot the system and get excited for the year ahead.
For many, this time of year leads to the creation of many resolutions (some even a repeat of the year before... we have all been there), but the reality of it is, these resolutions can be forgotten or neglected after a couple of months. Just imagine how great it would feel, to set a resolution and at the end of 2016 be able to say that you achieved it.
So, rather than just make a list of resolutions, let's try to make the goal of 2016 to see one through.
Now, for some of us, the goal may be to be better at something, whatever it may be. I know for a lot of us, being healthier and fitter is something that we strive for at the beginning of each year and whilst our intentions may be good, life just seems to get in the way.
It can be really difficult to stay on track, you may buy that gym membership and really use it at its maximum for the first week of January, only to find by the end of March you haven’t been - or you are disheartened with the lack of results.
This brings me to my next point, the need to create an environment that helps you achieve your goals. It takes dedication and commitment, sure, but if you enjoy what you do this will be a whole lot easier.
This is why I chose to join F45 The Ponds, I must admit I didn’t think I would love it as much as I do. I used to exercise at home, but I found that it was a lot harder to keep motivated and training alone, I did not always push myself the way I probably could have. I thought about joining a gym, but having very limited knowledge about the types of exercises I needed to do, it just felt a bit overwhelming.
It's only been 12 weeks since F45 The Ponds opened, but in this short amount of time the club has grown. F45 is not like anything that I have tried before, each day a different workout, 45 mins long. I never realized what a positive impact team training could have on your motivation levels, I for one find it so much more enjoyable.
2016 will see new workouts added to the F45 timetable, so there is alot to look forward to for new and exisiting members. Monday the 4th January marks the first class of 2016 at F45 The Ponds and there hasn’t been a better time to take advantage of the free two week trial!
