Last week I wasn’t able to make one of my usual F45 classes and to rid myself of the guilt, I decided to do my own workout at home. Keeping it simple, I set some music on my phone and decided to start with a 20 min run, followed by some interval training.... I was pretty motivated!
Having completed the run, I began the first circuit..........
Gradually my focus seemed drift towards how much longer I had to go, rather than the workout itself and I noticed myself starting to slack off. Already dreading the next two circuits, I was still determined to complete it, but I wondered how I ever made it through a full F45 class if I couldn't make it through a workout at home.
It occurred to me that simple things, like seeing your friends at training or getting some encouragement from the coaches, good music and a few laughs during your workout make it so much more fun to complete. You get an energy boost, its easier to stay motivated and you almost forget how hard you work!
F45 training is challenging, but because it is fun, you take on these challenges, sometimes without even realising it. It is only when you look back that you realise how far you have come and the progress that you have made.
Now, don't get me wrong, sometimes you may need to fly solo to clear the mind, but it is good to mix things up and seriously a bit of fun in your workout can do wonders! Generally, people thrive in positive environments and exercise is not much different.
F45 Training The Ponds prides themselves on being a supportive and fun gym that anybody, no matter the fitness level or age, can join and once you do, you not only get to enjoy all the variety in workouts, but you also become part of the family!
