AUSTRALIA: THE GIRL GANG HITS ONE MILE BEACH
March 25, 2017
Time for some much needed R&R!
A couple of weekends ago we spent our time basking in the warm rays of sunshine on One Mile Beach. Together, with a group of girls we planned a nice little getaway, residing at the lovely One Mile Beach deckhouse! This little, 3 bedroom apartment was positioned high up on the cliff overlooking the magnificent stretch of golden sand and blue water that was One Mile Beach.
In the mornings it was lovely to grab a coffee and head out onto the balcony, you could hear the waves rolling in, the birds chirping and the waft of breakfast lingering through the air... ok sorry, getting a little carried away reminiscing.
With the beach so close by, it was only natural to spend the rest of the time relaxing under the shade of a beach umbrella, listening to good tunes and going for a dip in the refreshing blue ocean to cool off!
A little break away from life in the city really helps you to refocus and rejuvenate!
Everyone gets so busy, its nice to set aside the time to catch up with friends. Schedules can be difficult to arrange, but its worth the effort. We all spent a lot of time chatting and getting to know each other better, even becoming a little competitive playing games like Articulate!
Planning short breaks can be a really nice way to create things you can look forward to amidst the day-to-day demands of life and like our little break, it can be done on a budget. Go in a group so the cost is shared and stock up on your groceries and essentials beforehand. Plan out your meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. This way you know exactly what you need before heading to the supermarket and avoid over purchasing. With everyone sharing the cost, it can be extremely cost effective and you get to enjoy a location that perhaps wouldn't have been an option if you were alone.
We all spend our time dreaming of travelling to exotic locations, saving for big trips that seem to take a lifetime to plan and save for. Discovering new places is one of the most enjoyable things that you can do, but its nice to spend some time to explore your own backyard, find gems that maybe you overlook.
This can be a nice budget friendly way to get by whilst you plan your European adventure or your Antarctic voyage!
