Eyebrows on Fleek - Eye Of Horus
May 22, 2017
Ok, beauties it's time to talk eyebrows!
Getting those "eyebrows on fleek" (as they say) can be quite the challenge, so, we are always on the hunt for new natural products to try.
We were recently gifted the Eye of Horus, plant based, cruelty and paraben free brow essentials pack. The pack includes:
Black Goddess Mascara
Your choice of Brow Define Pencil (depending on your hair colour)
Custom Cosmetics Tweezers
Make up purse
Your brows frame your face, so it's important to get them just right.
Personally, I am not a fan of over plucking your brows, but I am lucky that my brows have always been pretty tame and not too crazy. Following the advice of my mumma, I never pluck my eyebrows, I only pluck a few stray hairs in the centre between both my brows.
To do this I like to have a nice precise tweezer so that I am able to pick up all the little, usually quite fine hairs, Eye of Horus Tweezer was perfect for this. A good tweezer ensures accurate and precise plucking making sure that you don’t accidently remove the wrong hairs – because that can be disastrous.
I do however have a nice simple brow routine that I use daily. For an everyday, minimal or no makeup look, I like to brush the hairs upward using the brush on the back of the Eye of Horus ‘Dynasty Brow Define’ pencil. Then I like to touch up any areas that are a bit lighter with the Eye of Horus ‘Dynasty Brow Define’ pencil. This pencil goes on smoothly and lightly, although it is buildable in depth and colour, I like to apply just enough to achieve a natural look. Then, if need be I may just use a bit of organic eyebrow gel to hold everything in place.
Finally, I like to finish with a swipe of the Eye of Horus mascara and you are good to go! Personally, I don’t like anything too bold on the eyebrows and find that if I touch up my brows mascara is a must to complete the look.
On days where I want to wear a bit more makeup, for example if I am wearing foundation, I find that if I don’t do my brows, they look too faint. I’ll just go a little darker with the pencil and finish up as per my normal routine.
Eye of Horus Goddess Brow Essential Pack is the perfect little eyebrow kit. The Eye of Horus products are plant based and paraben free (Yes to toxin free makeup!) All of this packaged in a lovely little zipped pouch, making it the perfect travel companion to ensure you always have your brows on point.
